El Valiente is a fruity wine, but maintaining the essence of Bodegas Valdaya, with floral hints, such as violets, and balsamic hints.

On the palate it is velvety, with round tannins and freshness. It maintains the classic elegant character in our wines and freshness, but opting for a more fruity and lively profile. 

El Valiente comes from two vineyards located in Gumiel de Mercado and Baños de Valdearados (Burgos) at an altitude of 850 to 900 meters and with an age of the vineyard between 30 and 50 years.

Both plots have the particularity of having a deep clay soil that allows to maintain moisture in the soil, even in dry periods.

characteristics of our soils and its surroundings, the weather and the altitude of the Ribera del Duero
in Burgos and being able to convey the uniqueness of these vineyards in each glass of wine.

Inspire a new way of making wines in the Ribera, focusing on the fruit and the particularities of each estate where the vines grow. Reveal the potential of each small parcel through micro-vinifications, recognizing and stimulating all its capacities.

Proof of this is our jewel MIRUM de Valdaya considered among the best Ribera del Duero wines, according to Tim Atkin or Decanter Magazine.
