Almost black in colour to the eye, the nose reveals toastie oak charachter, black fruits, leather and a heady mix of tobacco and licorique. In the mouth it is hugely rich, smooth and sweet. A wine to be drunk with all red meats, but especially roast lamb typical of the region.
The term “Cather”, originates in the Greek, Katharois, meaning “Pure.” This origin is in turn reflected in the purity and authenticity of our wine from the privileged area of Ribera del Duero, Gumiel de Mercado, an ancient winemaking area full of subterranean cellars cut out of rock.
Diluvio is our homage to the wet and windy weather that make Galicia the beautiful lush, green land it is. The grapes used are of an extraordinary quality: selected from tiny garden parcels, many of the vines are over 70 years old.
Tumilet: (for children): an old car driven manually by a lever and guided by the feet. Tumilet (for adults): a wine of 30 years of Grenache planted in slate and aged in French oak barrels of 500 liters during 12 months.
