DILUVIO 2018

Diluvio is our homage to the wet and windy weather that make Galicia the beautiful lush, green land it is. The grapes used are of an extraordinary quality: selected from tiny garden parcels, many of the vines are over 70 years old.

D.O.:Rias Baixas
CLIMATE:Mild temperatures and abundant rainfall.
VINEYARDS:25 years old vines from Finca de Revillalcepo.
VARIETIES:Albariño.
SOIL TYPE:Granite soil.
ANALYTICAL:Alcohol: 12,5%,Residual Sugar: 2 g/l,Total acidity: 6,75 g/l,PH: 3,2

ELABORATION
It takes 1.3 Kgs of grapes to make a bottle of wine, such is the gentle elaboration used to extract juice. The must macerates on skins for a total of 10 hours, at 8ºC, during which light remontages are practiced. The next stage is to remove the free run juice slowly, separating it from the skins, and racking it into fermentation tanks. Post fermentation the wine is then racked and left sur lie for a further 20 days. A second racking then leaves the wine on only the finest lees until it is deemed to have reached its optimum ppoint for bottling.

TASTING NOTE
The wine displays varietal character and is notable for its broadness and balance. Visually, it is has a clear and deep straw colour with green flecks. On the nose it is intense and complex with notes of freshness, fruits and white flowers. On the palate it has a soft attack, a good balance betwen body and acidy, and is rich and persistent. Its optimum serving temperature is betwenn 12 a 14ºC.

Viña Moraima

Bodegas Moraima, is a small cooperative of a group of winemakers of all life, family tradition, in the town of Barro, Pontevedra, within the DO Rías Baixas and specifically, in the sub area, Val Do Salnés.

It all started in 2006, when this group of partners decided to make their own wine instead of selling the grapes to third parties. The vineyards are spectacular, a large part of them, centenarians, free standing without grafting. The philosophy is to be little interventionist, to practice a minimalist and integrated viticulture.

The winery is directed by the winemaker Roberto Taibo, a great specialist of Galician wines, a true connoisseur of its climate and its varieties.

CATHAR ROBLE 2016

The term “Cather”, originates in the Greek, Katharois, meaning “Pure.” This origin is in turn reflected in the purity and authenticity of our wine from the privileged area of Ribera del Duero, Gumiel de Mercado, an ancient winemaking area full of subterranean cellars cut out of rock.
